The US grants 42 million dollars to our country for the development of the energy sector
The United States of America will offer the Republic of Moldova 42 million dollars for the energy security of our country, said today during an event aimed at expanding USAID assistance, the US ambassador to Chisinau, Kent Logsdon. The American diplomat also added that the authorities in Washington and the Government of the Republic of Moldova are working to counter the energy challenges of our country.

"I announce an additional investment of 42 million dollars in the energy future of the Republic of Moldova. This additional funding through the USAID "Energy Security of the Republic of Moldova" project will support the energy sector, will address current challenges and will facilitate the development of a clean and secure energy future," the ambassador said. He stressed that the Republic of Moldova faces serious energy challenges due to Russian dependence on gas and electricity.
