The official stated that the Chisinau authorities are in close collaboration with the states participating in the event, as it is not only about our security, but also about European security.

"Practically all partners are included to ensure that this Summit goes well, including from a security perspective. All countries will ensure the security of our country. Air, land, river and cyber space will also be secure. We are all working to ensure an increased degree of security for all participants. I want us all to be aware that we still have leaders of some nuclear powers that will be on our soil. We have leaders of great regional powers, France, Great Britain, Turkey, Germany, so they are states that take their own security very seriously ", said Nicu Popescu.

We remind you that, on June 1, about 50 heads of state and government, as well as leaders of the European Union, are expected in Chisinau. During the second Summit of the European Political Community, which will be held in Bulboaca, officials will discuss joint efforts for peace, in the context of the war in Ukraine and related crises, the defense of democracy, the strengthening of energy security and the resilience of European states.

Previously, the president Maia Sandu declared that this event is a historic one, which places the Republic of Moldova at the table of discussions of the European states and represents an important investment in the future of our country.
