CPE Summit // People who are refused entry to the Republic of Moldova will be temporarily accommodated in a placement center
People who are refused entry to the territory of the Republic of Moldova during the European Political Community Summit will be temporarily accommodated in a placement center, which will operate from May 31 to June 2, being provided with food and medical assistance.
Transporting people to the placement center will be ensured by the General Inspectorate of the Border Police.
The expenses for food and medical assistance, borne by the Center, will be provided by the General Inspectorate for Migration, except in cases where the persons are prohibited from entering the Republic of Moldova. The accommodation expenses for these people will be borne by the air operator that provided their transport, reads a press release from the Interior Ministry (MAI).
Also, the term of accommodation for foreigners who were refused entry to the Republic of Moldova through the Chisinau International Airport border crossing point will not exceed 72 hours.
The measure announced by the MAI will be applied in the context of the closure of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova during the Summit on June 1, when the activity of air operators within the Chisinau International Airport will be suspended, and it will not be possible to leave the border crossing point immediately.
We remind you that all civil aircraft flights, except for official ones, will be prohibited in the entire airspace of the Republic of Moldova, starting at midnight, June 1, and until June 2, at 07:00.
