Progress in the implementation of the 9 recommendations of the European Commission, presented to the ambassadors of the EU member states

The ambassadors of the member states of the European Union, accredited in Chisinau, were informed about the progress of the Republic of Moldova in fulfilling the 9 recommendations of the European Commission, regarding our country's application to join the community bloc. The information was presented by the Secretary of State, Stela Leucă, reads a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

She said during the meeting with European diplomats that the authorities in Chisinau are counting on the fact that our progress will contribute to the recommendation of the European Commission and the subsequent decision of the EU member states to launch the accession negotiations of the Republic of Moldova until the end of 2023.

"I informed the EU ambassadors about the progress made in the implementation of the 9 recommendations of the Commission. In this sense, the Republic of Moldova is making an effort to achieve significant and sustainable progress", said Stela Leucă. Also, special attention was given to justice reform, deoligarization and strengthening of administrative capacities.

In this context, the advisor to the president of the Republic of Moldova in justice field, Veronica Bradăuțanu, spoke about the main elements of the Action Plan project regarding measures to limit excessive economic and political influence in public life. Afterwards, there was an exchange of views with the ambassadors on the progress made.
