Maia Sandu, interview for the media from Romania: "We managed to overcome all the crises thanks to Romania's support"
The war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine represents a threat to the freedom and the European path of the Republic of Moldova, claims the head of state Maia Sandu. In an interview for RFI, the president stated that the Republic of Moldova wants to be part of a free and independent world, and without Romania's help this would not be possible.

"I have heard several times voices from Moscow saying that they want to restore the Soviet Union there. This directly affects us. We do not want to return to the Soviet Union, or we want to live in a free society, in a democratic country. We managed to overcome all the crises thanks to Romania's support, otherwise I don't think we would have managed. The interests of the Republic of Moldova are promoted with the same intensity by Bucharest as they are promoted by Chisinau", said the Head of State. Maia Sandu also said that Bucharest and Chisinau should fight together against disinformation and propaganda, and currently there is a clear determination from both sides to combat this phenomenon.
