The "Moldova Europeană" Grand Assembly was organised in over 30 European cities. At the headquarters of the Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Padua, Italy, around 250 Moldovans listened to the message delivered by the President of the country, Maia Sandu, and they affirm that Moldova's place is in the European Union.
"The event was promoted on the consulate's social media platforms, and the message was picked up by our associations here in the northern Italy region. The event is still ongoing. Citizens listened to President Maia Sandu's speech from the Great National Assembly Square in Chișinău. We also had local guests from the local authorities in Padua who also conveyed a message of support for Moldovan citizens and our country's accession to the European Union," stated the consul of our country in Padua, Maxim Arghir, in an interview for Radio Moldova.
