Igor Grosu: Central authorities from Chisinau are open to working only with honest officials from UTA Gagauzia
The central authorities in Chisinau are open to working only with honest officials from UTA Gagauzia, said on the public TV channel, the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, after the mandate of the regional mayor was validated, by which the candidate of the Şor Party, Evghenia Guțul was declared the winner of the election.
The Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, also said that, in the next period, on the platform of the Parliamentary Commission, the autonomy legislation will be evaluated and to what extent it is connected to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and the international treaties to which our country is a party.
"We have a parliamentary committee where we discuss how well the laws that regulate this region are connected, how correctly they are adjusted to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, to our codes. Let's see if these policies have achieved their goal for 30 years. The fact that these taxes or part of the taxes remained there, did they somehow contribute to the integration of this region? The promotion of culture, language, values must be solved as soon as possible and not only there, but on the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova. The ongoing presence of the Kremlin's propaganda affects and has a very bad impact on our information security," Igor Grosu said.
We remind that, yesterday, the Court of Appeal from Comrat validated the results of the elections for the position of mayor of the Gagauz autonomy, given that the law enforcement officers are conducting criminal prosecutions in the case of voter corruption, and the Central Electoral Commission has initiated eight contravention processes on the facts of illegal financing of electoral competitors.
