Maia Sandu had a farewell meeting with the Canadian ambassador: the head of state appreciated the lasting partnership between our countries

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a farewell meeting with the Canadian ambassador, based in Bucharest Annick Goulet.

The head of state appreciated the long-standing partnership between our countries and the assistance provided in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine.

Also, according to the Presidency, Maia Sandu thanked for the programs supported by Canada in the Republic of Moldova, but also for the contribution of Canadian partners for the management of the refugee crisis in Ukraine.

Finally, the president thanked Ambassador Annick Goulet for her service and involvement in strengthening bilateral relations between our states.

The composition of the Supreme Security Council, revised

The composition of the Supreme Security Council has been revised, as announced by the Presidency. A decree to this effect was signed by President Maia Sandu on January 10. The new composition of the Council excludes the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba; the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Vladimir Bolea; the Minister of Health, Ala Nemerenco; and the executive director of IPRE, Iulian Groza.
