The Party of Socialists from the Republic of Moldova will announce its candidate for mayor of Chisinau

Deputy Vlad Batrîncea said last night, during a program on TV8, that the Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova will announce its candidate for mayor of Chisinau.

“Yes, we have two candidates that have been talked about at the Republican council. It's about me and Igor Dodon. We believe that in the next few weeks we will present the candidate", stated Vlad Batrîncea.

We remind you that, in the fall of this year, general local elections will take place in the Republic of Moldova. The exact date of the polls is to be set by the Central Electoral Commission 70 days before the elections. According to some experts, they could be held on October 29 or November 5. The term of office of local elected officials is 4 years, and the last local elections were held in 2019.
