Charles Michel, message before the EPC Summit: "Moldova, you are among friends!"
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, sent a message of support to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, before the Summit of the European Political Community (EPC).
"On June 1, Moldova will be the heart of Europe. You will open the doors of your beautiful country for 50 European leaders, 50 friends of Moldova. This is a historic moment for your country and for the people of this country. It is a powerful symbol of a continent that supports you, a powerful symbol of your path to our European family. Moldova, you are among friends. Moldova, you are not alone!", said the president of the European Council, Charles Michel.
Previously, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, came with similar messages of support.
We remind you that on June 1, the Republic of Moldova will host the Summit of the European Political Community. 50 officials, heads of state and government are expected. Peace, security, economic resilience, as well as actions in the field of climate and interconnections in Europe are the main topics that will be addressed during the meeting, previously announced the president Maia Sandu.
