"The Ukrainian army claims to have repelled a new attack with Russian drones on Kiev
The military administration of Kiev stated on Thursday that the capital's air defence system completely repelled another "massive" attack by Russian drones on the city, which is the twelfth attack in May, according to Agerpres.ro.
Russia "once again attacked Kiev through the air," wrote Serhi Popko, the head of the civilian and military administration of Kiev, on Telegram, adding that the aerial alert over the city lasted for over three hours.
"According to preliminary information," he said, "Shahed-type drones were involved in this 'massive' attack."
"The guardian angels of Ukraine gave the aggressor no chance. All the aerial targets flying towards Kiev were destroyed by our air defense," he expressed his satisfaction.
The previous aerial attack on the city occurred four days ago, said Serhi Popko, who counted 12 offensives on the capital in May.
During the night, aerial alerts were also triggered in other locations, including Kharkiv and Chernivtsi, according to the authorities.
