"State Road Administration" to be reorganised
The State Enterprise "State Road Administration" will be reorganised into the Joint Stock Company "National Road Administration" with full state capital. On Thursday, 25 May, deputies voted in the second reading on the draft law, which provides for the amendment of some regulations concerning the administration of roads.
The purpose of the reorganisation is to remove the ambiguities concerning the competence of the public administration authorities responsible for the administration and management of national roads and the state-owned land related to these roads.
It also aims at strengthening and reinforcing the capacities of the State Road Administration, improving the mechanism for the distribution of Road Fund resources, and clarifying the responsibility for the administration and use, according to the purpose, of the resources allocated from the Fund.
