Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor: "The EPC Summit is a confirmation that Moldova is not alone and that it has Europe's support"

"Moldova is not alone and has Europe's support!" - The assurance comes from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who confirmed his presence at the European Political Community (EPC) Summit on 1 June in Moldova. The event will bring together 50 European presidents, prime ministers and officials to discuss solutions to Europe's most pressing problems, such as peace, security and energy resilience.

In his message, the German official reiterated his support for our country, stressing that the summit will bring together the great European family in the Republic of Moldova, and that the EPC countries are opting for peaceful cooperation, economic prosperity, respect for human rights and support for democracy.

"On 1 June, the European family will gather in Moldova - a family that is united in the fight for peaceful cooperation, economic prosperity, human rights and democracy. We believe that war has no place in Europe. We address those who suffer from aggression and threats from Moscow. This is the strong message that the European Political Community Summit will convey. This is why Moldova has our full support. That is why Moldova is not alone," said Olaf Scholz.

The Republic of Moldova is hosting the European Political Community Summit on 1 June 2023, bringing together for the first time 50 European presidents, prime ministers and senior officials. The summit will take place in the village of Bulboaca, Anenii Noi district, about 35 kilometres from Chisinau.

The European Political Community is a pan-European governmental forum set up last year in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, serving as a platform that brings together European leaders to discuss and identify solutions to Europe's most pressing problems, such as security, stability and energy resilience.
