Thousands of people were refused entry to the Republic of Moldova in the last year: 39% were from the Russian Federation
About 8 thousand people were refused entry to the territory of the Republic of Moldova during the year, of which 39 percent were from the Russian Federation. The data were presented by Prime Minister Dorin Recean in the plenary session of the Legislative, during the examination of the subject regarding the extension of the state of emergency throughout the country.
The official said that thanks to this mechanism, the state institutions correctly and peacefully managed the potential challenges of the hybrid war waged by Russia. "The institutions of the Republic of Moldova used the tools provided by the mechanism of emergency situations, respectively in the Republic of Moldova, in the last year 7857 people were not admitted, including 3092 people from the Russian Federation, considered dangerous elements for the order and security of the Republic of Moldova. I confirm that yes, this tool is very effective for the Government, to ensure that possible challenges through hybrid war can be managed correctly and peacefully by the Government", said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
We remind that, according to the information previously presented by the Border Police, several people were refused entry to the Republic of Moldova, being suspected of having been involved in actions to destabilize the situation in the country, as well as the constitutional order.
