Several buildings in Moscow hit by drones

Several buildings in Moscow have been hit by drones causing "minor" damage and no serious injuries, the Russian capital's mayor said Tuesday morning, as quoted by international news agencies.

"All emergency services in the city are at the scene of the incident," Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a statement.

Andrei Vorobiov, governor of the Moscow region, wrote on Telegram that several drones were shot down as they approached the Russian capital. Several Telegram messaging channels in Russia reported that between four and ten drones were shot down on the outskirts of Moscow and the surrounding region.

The Russian state news agency RIA reported that some residents of a building on Profsoiuznaya Street in southern Moscow were evacuated.
