Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands: We must strengthen Ukraine's defense capacity and expand the "Patriot" coalition
European countries must strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and must expand the "Patriot" coalition, said the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, at the opening of the plenary session of the European Political Community Summit.
"Ukraine must win, and we must do everything possible to make that happen, to have an international coalition, to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability. We need to train Ukrainian pilots on F16 aircraft with the help of several. We also need to expand the "Patriot" coalition. I don't think I need to tell you how high the stakes are, we see images from the front every day and we know that this war will not end on its own. Ukraine must know that it can count on all of us, that in such times we must offer more humanitarian, financial, military support. This is our joint commitment," said the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.
The official also mentioned that in the Republic of Moldova the Russian threat is "palpable".
"Our meeting says a lot. Moldova is Ukraine's neighbor and here the Russian threat is palpable. Russia wants to undermine the confidence of the Moldovan people with hybrid threats. We are impressed by the courage of the people, you are an example for us. We are united in our belief that we must do everything possible to restore peace, security and justice in Europe," Mark Rutte said.
