Gas will get cheaper. Moldovagaz submitted the request to reduce the average tariff
SA "Moldovagaz" submitted a request to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) regarding the reduction of the average tariff for the supply of natural gas to final consumers at regulated prices for 2023. Thus, it is proposed that the tariff be reduced to 16,492 lei for thousand cubic meters or 36.8% less.
"The main factor that caused the need to review tariffs is the significant drop in natural gas prices, which are purchased by SA "Moldovagaz" from SA "Energocom" for the needs of consumers on the right bank of the Nistru, in accordance with the decision of the National Commission for Emergency Situations", reads a press release.
According to the approach, the tariff at the exit points from the transport networks will be 13,978 lei per thousand cubic meters, or 43.9% less compared to the existing one.
Similarly, at the exit points from the high pressure distribution networks, the tariff is proposed to be set at the level of 14,454 lei for one thousand cubic meters, or 42.6% less, for those of medium pressure - 15,476 lei for one thousand cubic meters, or 39.3% less, and for low pressure ones – 18,456 lei for one thousand cubic meters, or 31.9% less.
"This decision is in strict accordance with the legislation, it will allow the purchase price to be fully covered and thus ensure the execution of the contractual payment conditions vis-à-vis the natural gas supplier. The tariff for natural gas at regulated prices is approved by ANRE in an open meeting", reads the press release.
We remind you that previously Prime Minister Dorin Recean declared from the rostrum of the Parliament that the authorities will request the reduction of the natural gas tariff.
Currently, household consumers pay 29.27 lei for a cubic meter.
