ANRE has decided: natural gas has become cheaper by 11 lei

The National Agency for Energy Regulation today approved new natural gas tariffs of 18 lei and 6 bani per cubic metre, including VAT, compared to 29 lei and 27 bani, which consumers currently pay. The price will come into force once the decision adopted today by ANRE is published in the Official Gazette, the institution's representative Tatiana Savca announced at the meeting.

"This decision shall enter into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The regulated price for the supply of natural gas by Moldovagaz S.A. at the entry points of the natural gas transmission networks is 13.348 lei per thousand cubic meters. At the exit points of the natural gas transmission networks it is 13.514 lei per thousand cubic meters. At low-pressure natural gas distribution outlet points it is 16,730 lei per thousand cubic metres. The regulated prices for natural gas supplied to end consumers are binding for all natural gas undertakings, which have been imposed a public service obligation, until the regulated prices for them are approved," the official said.

The tariff approved today by ANRE is lower than the one requested by Moldovagaz, 18.45 lei.
