The official does not want to remain interim prime minister, therefore President Klaus Iohannis will appoint Marcel Ciolacu as prime minister. He will have to present his program and the new members within 10 days, writes the Romanian media.

Along with Nicolae Ciucă, all the advisers he had at the Victoria Palace will also resign. However, he will remain the president of the National Liberal Party and will take over the portfolio of president of the Senate.

We remind you that Nicolae Ciucă became the Prime Minister of Romania at the end of 2021, and Marcel Ciolacu holds the position of President of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies since November of the same year.
