Ion Ceban says that he will not allow the organization of the LGBT march
The mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban announced that he will not allow the organization of the LGBT march in the center of Chisinau, planned for June 18.
The mayor urged the organizers to "display their pseudo-values at home and not in public".
"I am not going to judge anyone, but on June 18 we will not comply with the statement submitted in order to organize the gay march in the capital. Public transport will run normally on Bucuresti Street and other streets. Let everyone do what they want at home, we don't need propaganda for these manifestations, behaviors and attitudes. I am in defense of the right to work, study, and any other aspect of daily life," said Ion Ceban.
The representative of the GENDERDOC-M Center, the first non-governmental organization that defends and promotes LGBT rights in the Republic of Moldova, Angelica Frolov, wrote on her Facebook page that Ion Ceban commented on the LGBT march not very creatively, and his comment coincides with last year's.
