According to him, the ammunition was identified by a citizen who was looking for metal objects with the help of a detector. "A citizen using a metal detector found an object in the ground, he saw that it resembled a bomb and informed the administration of the "Plaiul Fagului" reservation. Those from the reservation informed the representatives of the Territorial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and the Ungheni Police Inspectorate. National Army sappers came to the scene.
Yesterday, scientists surveyed the soil of the reservation. Judging from its weight and dimensions of approximately 100 kilograms, it was probably an aviation bomb from the Second World War", declared Ion Bulmaga.
