Israeli authorities were notified that Ilan Shor was convicted. Minister of Justice: A new extradition request is being prepared
The Ministry of Justice informed the Israeli authorities that Ilan Șor already has the status of a convict, according to the decision of the Chisinau Court of Appeal, said the Minister of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru during the program "La 360 de grade" on Radio Moldova.
According to her, now the authorities are preparing the last documents to send them to Israel, through which they again request the extradition of Ilan Şor. "The request regarding the extradition request of Ilan Şor took place within the criminal file, regarding which the Court of Appeal pronounced a sentence of conviction and admission of the civil action regarding the confiscation of assets. Immediately after the sentencing decision was pronounced by the Court of Appeal, the Israeli authorities were immediately notified of the fact that his status had changed, as he had already been convicted, that is, in his case, there is a final decision that is being enforced," said Veronica Mihailov -Moraru.
We remind you that, on April 13, the magistrates of the Chisinau Court of Appeal sentenced Ilan Șor to 15 years in prison, and the seized assets, worth 5 billion lei, will be confiscated in favor of the state .
For his part, Ilan Şor qualified the court's decision as revenge for the protest movement he leads.
