Bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Australia was discussed at the Government
Collaboration in the economic, energy and IT fields, as well as the launch of joint projects, especially in the development of infrastructure in our country, were discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Australia's ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, residing in Kiev, Bruce Edwards.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean mentioned that a priority of the Chisinau Government remains the attraction of foreign investments in our country's economy.
Also, the two officials spoke about the importance of exchanging experience in the process of marketing, exporting and promoting wine products, as well as about the application of advanced technologies in the wine sector.
We remind that the Republic of Moldova and Australia established diplomatic relations in 1992, both countries actively participating in a series of multilateral forums. According to the Australian census of 2016, over 900 citizens originating from the Republic of Moldova live in Australia.
