Nicu Popescu invited Luminița Odobescu to visit Chișinău
Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu discussed on Thursday by phone with the new Romanian Foreign Minister, Luminița Odobescu. Popescu congratulated her on the occasion of her investiture and expressed his hope that relations between Moldova and Romania will continue to develop "vertiginously".
"We discussed the importance of bilateral relations between our countries and I strongly expressed my conviction that they will continue to develop rapidly. We are determined to carry out joint projects that will benefit all citizens. Romania will continue to be our country's main advocate in the process of accession to the European Union", said Nicu Popescu after the phone call with Luminița Odobescu.

Luminița Odobescu is Romania's new Foreign Minister in the government led by Marcel Ciolacu, which received today the vote of investiture by the Parliament.
Odobescu succeeds Bogdan Aurescu, who was Foreign Minister in the government led by Nicolae Ciucă.
