Anatoly Nosatyi: National Army becomes more equipped with EU and NATO support
The military assistance package for the Republic of Moldova is quite an impressive one. The aid is being offered both on the NATO and EU lines, Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatyi told our radio station. According to him, this contributes to increasing the operational capacity of the armed forces.**
"I think that you can already see how the military are dressed, what protective equipment they have, what kind of weapons, what technique they are equipped with, and gradually you can see what was before and what is now. I want to tell you that the Ministry of Defence, the leadership of the National Army is making every effort to find all available resources from the national budget, including to use our bilateral cooperation to get the best equipment, the best armament for equipping the National Army," Anatoly Nosatii noted.
This week, on the sidelines of the NATO Defence Ministers' Meeting in Brussels, Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatyi announced to Radio Moldova journalists that Moldova is acquiring an airspace monitoring system, and the National Army's soldiers will start training soon.
At the end of April, the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council approved a new assistance package for the National Army to strengthen Moldova's defence capabilities.
