The Republic of Moldova, interested in importing natural gas from Croatia
The Republic of Moldova is interested in an even closer cooperation with Croatia for the potential import of natural gas in the future, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, in Zagreb in a joint conference supported by his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlić-Radman. The head of Moldovan diplomacy also mentioned the important role of Croatia in the distribution of the network of energy resources on a regional level.

"We have an open dialogue with Croatian businessmen in such fields as IT, tourism, the pharmaceutical field, which will bring benefits to the citizens of both states in the future. We also want the commercialization of Moldovan products of interest for export on the European market", said Nicu Popescu, following the meeting with his counterpart. The two officials also talked about the war in Ukraine. In this context, Nicu Popescu noted that even in this difficult situation, the Republic of Moldova continues to look optimistically into the future, and thanks to the support of European partners, to advance in strengthening democracy, energy security and ensuring peace on our territory.
