Joint meeting of the human rights committees of the Romanian Senate and the Moldovan Parliament will take place in Chisinau

The Chisinau legislature will host a joint meeting of the Human Rights and Interethnic Relations Committee of the Moldovan Parliament and the Committee on Human Rights, Equal Opportunities, Cults and Minorities of the Senate of the Romanian Parliament. The event will take place on Tuesday 20 June.

The meeting will address topical issues, including human rights, the situation of ethnic minorities, refugees and people with disabilities. Officials will also discuss opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation and cooperation in areas of common interest.

In Chisinau, members of the Romanian Senate's Committee on Human Rights, Equal Opportunities, Cults and Minorities will meet with members of the Friendship Group with Romania, the Minister of Justice, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, the People's Advocate, Ceslav Panico, and the People's Advocate for the Rights of the Child, Maia Bănărescu.
