China has given assurances that it has not provided lethal aid to Russia, nor will it do so in the future. However, the United States remains concerned that some Chinese manufacturers may not live up to those commitments, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said today, as quoted by CNN.
The official was referring in particular to Chinese companies, which could provide Russia with technology it could use in its war against Ukraine. In this context, Antony Blinken stressed that he called on the Chinese government to be very vigilant in this regard.
At the same time, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced today at a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that relations between Beijing and Washington will progress. According to him, the two sides have reached an agreement on some specific issues and the visit of the US Secretary of State to China will bring a positive result in stabilising relations between the two great powers.
