Volodymyr Zelensky enacted a law banning the import of books from Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted a law banning the commercial import of books from Russia. "It's a fair law," wrote the Kiev leader on Telegram, announcing that he had also signed a similar document on the commercial import of printed books from Belarus or the occupied Ukrainian territory.
We remind that the legislative initiative was adopted by the parliament a year ago. Among other things, it provides for obtaining a special permit for the import of Russian-language books from third countries.
Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkacenko wrote on Telegram that the new legal provisions will protect Ukraine's book publishing and distribution sector from the destructive influence of the Russian world.
