President of the European Commission is visiting Bucharest today
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will pay a visit to Bucharest today, where she will participate in a high-level event on energy security and partnerships in the energy field, informs Radio Romania.
During the event hosted by the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, and Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă, an agreement will be signed on a strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transport between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary and Romania. In this way, the financial and technical framework will be ensured for the realization of the submarine cable project for the transport of electricity from renewable sources between Romania and Azerbaijan, via Georgia and the Black Sea, and, subsequently, for the transport of this energy to Hungary and the rest of Europe.
