Mihailo Podolyak: "Wagner group revolt is just the beginning"

Everything that is happening right now in Russia "is just the beginning". The presidential adviser of Ukraine wrote that, Mihailo Podolyak, on Twitter commenting on the armed revolt carried out by the leader of the Wagner group Yevgeny Prigozhin which, this morning, announced that it has taken control of the military sites in the city of Rostov on Don, Reuters reports.

“Prigozhin's counter-terrorist operation on the territory of Russia has already led to the capture of Rostov, a series of federal highways, the headquarters of the Southern District. The events gained wide publicity in Russia” and even provoked responses from the Federal Security Service (FSB), the National Counter-Terrorism Committee and the Prosecutor General's Office.

“The division among the elites is too evident. It won't work to agree and pretend that everything has been settled. Someone must surely lose: either Prigozhin (with a fatal ending), or the 'anti-Prigozhin' collective,” wrote Podolyak, referring to the entourage of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
