Daniel Vodă: The authorities of the Republic of Moldova are monitoring the events in the Russian Federation
"The authorities of the Republic of Moldova continue to monitor the events in the Russian Federation", said the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă, in the context in which, last night, the Wagner group started a military march on Russian territory, accusing the Russian Ministry of Defense that he had ordered an attack on his forces fighting in Ukraine.
"State institutions are in constant dialogue, including with our country's partners. We reiterate on behalf of the Government the recommendation to our citizens from Russia to contact the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Moscow if necessary", said the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration issued today a travel warning for Moldovans in Russia. Thus, citizens are urged to avoid visiting Russian regions bordering Ukraine and to leave these areas if they are already there.
