Code red in Moscow: machine gun nests installed at the entrance to the Russian capital, armored cars on the streets, bomb alerts
The Russian military has set up a machine gun nest on the outskirts of Moscow, according to photos posted on social media. The Russian authorities have also installed access filters at the entrance to the south-west of Moscow, from the M4 highway, used by the Wagner mercenaries to reach the Russian capital, informs The Guardian.
Other images published on the Internet also show an armored personnel carrier as well as "trenches" dug at the entrance to Moscow.
At the same time, the official Russian news agency TASS reports that museums and shopping centers in Moscow have been checked after receiving bomb threats. The Pushkin Museum and the Tretyakov Gallery were checked, and tourists and visitors in these places were evacuated, reads a statement from the emergency services, taken over by TASS.
At the same time, the state-owned companies in the Russian capital recommended their employees to stay at home for the next few days. Rostelecom, Russia's leading digital services and telecommunications operator, has asked employees to work from home during this period.
