Volodmir Zelenskiy spoke by phone with US President Joe Biden about the armed rebellion in Russia
The Wagner Rebellion in Russia was the subject of a phone conversation between US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Kiev leader wrote on his Telegram channel that he had a "positive and stimulating conversation" with the White House leader.
"We talked about the hostilities on the front and about our active efforts. The support provided by our partners is very meaningful and really helps our Soldiers move forward. Now the Russian occupiers are suffering losses - which is what we need to happen. We also discussed the strengthening of Ukrainian troops, and I thank our partners for understanding our long-term needs," Zelensky noted.
The two heads of state also talked about the next NATO summit, scheduled for mid-July in Vilnius.
