More than 17 thousand Ukrainian soldiers, trained in a program led by London

More than 17 thousand Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in the last 12 months in a program led by Great Britain, the British Ministry of Defense announces, reports AFP.

The recruits, with little or no military experience, received five weeks of training in weapons handling, first aid, laws of war, patrol tactics and training in the countryside. It was implemented by the UK, along with Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania and the Netherlands. "The UK and our partners will continue to provide this vital support, helping Ukraine to defend itself against Russian aggression for as long as it takes," said British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace. We remind that Great Britain initially offered to train 10,000 soldiers according to British basic training. The Program was then expanded so that 30,000 recruits are to be trained by 2024.
