A residential building in Egypt has collapsed. A large number of people could be under the rubble

On June 26, a 13-story building collapsed in the Egyptian port city of Alexandria. In the summer season, the apartments were mostly rented out to vacationers, and a shopping center was located on the ground floor, so many people can be under the rubble.

This was reported by the DailyMail agency. Rescue services and the police urgently arrived at the scene, carrying out activities to search for the victims and hand them over to the doctors.

“We don’t have preliminary information about the reasons for the collapse, but it is already clear that the building was torn apart by a ‘vertical split’,” Governor Muhammad al-Sharif said.

Since the building is located along the highway, the conditions for traffic accidents have been created. Cars crashed into the rubble, most of them cannot get out on their own.
