After the Wagner revolt, Putin suggests the mercenaries sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, gave a speech this evening on television affiliated with the Kremlin in which he spoke about the armed actions of the Wagner mercenary group led by Yevgeny Prigozhin. The announcement of his public address was made by the spokesman, who said that "Putin's statement will determine the fate of Russia."

But Putin told Russians, those who organized the "revolt" wanted Russia to lose "and our society to drown in blood, but they miscalculated."

The Kremlin leader also stated that due to his direct involvement "there was no bloodshed". At the same time, he praised the mercenaries calling them "patriots of the motherland who were used in the dark". Moreover, he suggested them to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian president again used the propaganda message from Moscow that his country is under threat from outside and "any kind of blackmail is doomed to failure".

Also today, the leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, published the first message after his brief military uprising in the Russian Federation, stating that he had no intention of overthrowing the leadership in Moscow. He said his march on Moscow on Saturday revealed "the worst security problems in the whole country".
