In the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) the winter holidays were started with the inauguration of the Christmas tree. Thousands of lights were lit, and carols and songs dedicated to the winter holidays resounded on the stage of PMAN.
Santa Claus arrived and sent a message of peace and health to all the children, Chisinau residents and guests of Chisinau. At the beginning of the event, the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the winter holidays. "I wish you what I wish my family - all the best in the world, good health and happy birthday. Merry Christmas and peace!". Also this evening, the Christmas Fair was inaugurated in PMAN, where local producers came with traditional dishes and folk craftsmen exhibited their most special works. According to the mayor, also today, simultaneously with the inauguration of the Christmas tree, holiday decorations were lit in all sectors of Chisinau. The caravan of trolleybuses started from PMAN. Starting today and until the middle of January, every day, several trolleybuses decorated with lights will run through the streets of Chisinau. In the trolleybuses there will also be Santa Claus who will give gifts to those who will sing or recite poems to him.
