Nicu Popescu met with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg
The positive evolution of the bilateral dialogue between Chisinau and Luxembourg and boosting of commercial and investment relations are some of the topics discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, and the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel. Also, the two officials referred to the next edition of the Support Platform of Moldova, which is to take place in October, in Chisinau.
The European path of the Republic of Moldova and the progress in the implementation of the nine recommendations of the European Commission were also the topics discussed by the two officials.
"According to the EU's first verbal report, our country has successfully fulfilled three recommendations and made progress on the other six. We are fully committed to continuing our efforts to initiate accession negotiations by the end of this year."
Nicu Popescu thanked Prime Minister Xavier Bettel for his participation in the second edition of the European Political Community Summit and emphasized the importance of his commitment and that of other European leaders in supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
The head of Moldovan diplomacy also noted the positive evolution of the bilateral dialogue and the intensification of trade and investment relations.
