The devastating fire in the perimeter of the Central Market was extinguished after seven hours of interventions
More than 1,000 square metres of material goods and warehouses for the sale of goods were consumed by the fire, announces the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
The fire broke out on Saturday, around 19:00 on Alexandru cel Bun street in the capital. The fire was completely extinguished after 7 hours of intervention.
82 rescuers with 24 technical units were involved in the extinguishing operation. According to IGSU, in the process of intervention to extinguish the fire, the firefighters faced the problem of low pressure in the water supply network of the street hydrants.
Versions of the fire outbreak are to be released by specialists following the static and dynamic investigation of the place where the fire occurred. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire. The case is being investigated by the competent authorities.
