Experts, after pro-European parties were invited to talks by Maia Sandu: This dialogue platform should be expanded
The pro-European parties active in the Republic of Moldova were invited, yesterday, to the Presidency to support the consolidation of the European path of the country, in the context in which the internal and external attacks on this process are increasing, according to the experts. In their opinion, this dialogue platform should be expanded with the participation of pro-unionist parties, which also support the accession to the community block.
The European path of the Republic of Moldova must be consolidated, including through the extra-parliamentary political parties, claims the political analyst, Victor Juc, in an interview for Radio Moldova. He noted that discussions in this format could continue.
"The ruling party has eroded its electoral support to a certain extent, after 2 years of solitary government, a constructive dialogue with pro-European extra-parliamentary parties is absolutely necessary for the coagulation of efforts. Another time, parties of a different geopolitical orientation can be invited, because the spectrum of political parties in the Republic of Moldova is very extensive, and the dialogue is absolutely necessary in the context of the problems facing the Republic of Moldova", said analyst Victor Juc.
For his part, political commentator Ion Tăbârță considers such a dialogue at the level of the Presidency to be welcome. According to him, in the context in which the ruling party would not form the parliamentary majority in the next elections, there must be other well-established pro-European parties, with which PAS could form a coalition.
"We still need strong, influential pro-European political parties, as if a single pro-European party, at the moment PAS, will not get enough votes to form the majority by itself, there should be other pro-European political parties that would have enjoyed the support of the citizens and together form a pro-European government in the Republic of Moldova. The pro-European parties that are active parties have been identified because it is complicated to invite someone who does not want to promote the same values as you", mentioned Ion Tăbârță.
This is the second meeting of President Maia Sandu with representatives of pro-European parties. The first was organized before the "European Moldova" Assembly. The participants in the discussion supported the need to continue the dialogue on this platform and possibly to extend the invitation to other political formations as well.
