Zelensky, in Odessa: The enemy will not dictate the conditions on the Black Sea

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, visited the city of Odesa in the south of the country on Sunday, where he met with the commander of the Navy, who informed him, among other things, about the situation in the Black Sea, reports EFE, quoted by Agerpres.

*"Today, Odesa region. A report by the commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksii Neijpapa," reported Zelensky's Telegram channel, where a video with images from the meeting was also published.

During the meeting, "many important topics" were discussed, including the operational situation in the Black Sea, the defensive capabilities of the navy and the development strategy of the Ukrainian navy during the war and for the post-war period, the quoted source said.

"We discussed the provisional results and prospects for the development of the naval drone program and the missile program," Zelenskiy said.

According to a statement from the presidential office, Neijpapa also briefed the president on the progress made towards the creation of a marine corps.

In a previous message, Zelensky congratulated the members of the Ukrainian Navy, who are celebrating their professional day today. "We are proud of you. We are getting stronger. We are winning," he wrote.

"The enemy will certainly not dictate the conditions in the Black Sea, and the occupiers will have to be as afraid to approach our Ukrainian Crimea and the shores of the Sea of Azov as they are to Russian ships, which are already afraid to approach our Black Sea coast," he noted in the video message.
