Secretary General of the Parliament, talks with the director of the Swiss Cooperation Office: Officials agreed on the key areas to be strengthened
Digitization of legislative processes, the process of approximating national legislation to the acquis communautaire, parliamentary control, but also increasing the degree of institutional transparency are some of the key areas to be strengthened. The general secretary of the Parliament, Tamara Gheorghița, discussed this with the director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Moldova, Guido Beltrani.
During the discussions, Tamara Gheorghița also referred to the activities carried out by the Parliament in the advancement of the European integration process, but also to the challenges encountered.
"The status of a candidate country for EU accession offers the employees of the Secretariat of the Parliament various opportunities, but also new responsibilities and new objectives that must be met, challenges that must be overcome effectively", said the Secretary General of the Parliament.
For his part, the Swiss official announced that the Swiss Cooperation Office intends to continue and to expand the projects in the Republic of Moldova and to provide the necessary assistance to advance in the European path.
