Zelensky ahead of Qatar World Cup final: Please support Ukraine and our efforts to restore peace
Volodymyr Zelensky addressed ahead of the World Cup Final in Qatar with a video message to support peace in Ukraine and join The Global Peace Summit, which will take place this winter.
"I announce the initiative to hold a Global Peace Summit this winter, a Summit to unite all the nations of the world around the cause of global peace," Zelenskiy said in his video message.
The President of Ukraine noted that more than anything else, Ukraine wants peace, because in war there are no winners or draws.
"This World Cup proved once again that different countries and nationalities can decide who is stronger in fair play, not in war, on the green football field, not on the red battlefield," the Ukrainian president said.
Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that wars must be lost, and Peace - to become victorious, as it is here and now, in Qatar, the World Cup, and not the World War.
"Please support Ukraine and our efforts to restore peace. Join the Global Peace Summit and become a champion of peace. Let's witness the World Cup final and the war in Ukraine together. Glory to Ukraine and congratulations on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar," concluded Zelensky.
