Natalia Gavrilița's message on the National Police Day
Police officers ensure compliance with the law and are actively involved in the social life of the communities in which they operate, protecting people's rights, freedoms and lives, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița wrote on her Facebook page.
In the context of the National Police Day, the Head of the Executive stated that the police were in the front line of response to the refugee crisis in Ukraine, managed to maintain internal stability and managed security risks. Natalia Gavrilița mentioned that the Police employees were the ones who got involved in the management, together with other state institutions, of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to her, with the support of European and international partners, the infrastructure and working conditions for employees of several police inspectorates were improved, and several subdivisions were equipped with cars, computers, laptops, generators, software.
Radio Moldova recalls that on December 18, 1990, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova adopted the Law on the police.
