The Czech Republic will send helicopters to Ukraine and will help to train Ukrainian F-16 pilots
The Czech Republic will help Ukraine train F-16 fighter jet pilots and will donate attack helicopters to Kiev, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to Rador.
"The Czech Republic will help train specialists on F-16 aircraft and will provide Ukraine with a simulator for such training," said Petr Fiala.
Moreover, the prime minister mentioned that in the coming months, the Czech Republic will send Ukraine another 100,000 large-caliber ammunition.
Also, the Czech Republic is ready to support Ukraine's aspirations to join NATO at the Alliance summit in Vilnius, which will take place on July 11-12, 2023.
"I expect all NATO allies to support Ukraine's aspirations to join NATO. The president can count on the vote of the Czech Republic," said Petr Fiala.
He noted that no one knows when the war will end, but emphasized that "it is clear that it should end with a guarantee for the independence of Ukraine and its territories." At the same time, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic mentioned that this is important not only for Ukraine, but also for the security of Europe.
"We must do our best for Ukraine to win and be able to defend its territorial integrity. We must open NATO's door to the brave Ukrainian people. We have to do this both for Ukraine and for ourselves," said Petr Fiala.
We remind you that, after his trip to Bulgaria, Volodymyr Zelensky arrived last night on an official visit to the Czech Republic. In Prague, the Ukrainian president met with his Czech counterpart, Petr Pavel. The latter reaffirmed his support for Ukraine and declared that he sees no other solution to the war started by Russia than a Ukrainian victory.
