Following the examination of the report, Dorin Recean requested the review within 20 days of the security protocols in the Airport and in the adjacent area, as well as the creation of an analysis and rapid reaction center on the territory of the institution. Also, the active patrol procedure in the area adjacent to the Airport will be adjusted and the normative framework related to the management of persons not admitted to the territory of the Republic of Moldova will be improved.

We remind you that on June 30, the border policeman, Serghei Muntean, and the security guard, Igor Ciofu, were shot by a citizen of Tajikistan, who was not allowed to enter the Republic of Moldova. The attacker was wounded by the law enforcement officers, and a few days later he died in the hospital.

Later, several politicians and opinion leaders demanded the resignation of the Minister of the Interior Ana Revenco and the head of the Border Police Rosian Vasiloi.

On Wednesday, July 12, during the Government meeting, Dorin Recean mentioned that "on Friday there will be a meeting where difficult decisions will be made following this tragedy".

On Friday, July 14, the prime minister announced the resignations of ministers Ana Revenco, Lilia Dabija and Anatolie Topală. The reason for the resignations was not announced.
