LIVE Newly appointed ministers swear in before President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean
The appointed ministers take the oath of office in the presence of President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Thus, the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development will be Andrei Spînu, Secretary General of the President's Office. He has previously held this position from 6 August 2021 to 16 February 2023.
The Minister of Education and Research is the PAS deputy, chairman of the Social Protection, Health and Family Committee of the Parliament, Dan Perciun.
Adrian Efros takes over the portfolio of the Ministry of Interior. He is a colonel in the General Staff of the National Army and since the Russian invasion of Ukraine he has been head of the Single Crisis Management Centre in Moldova.
The processes started by former ministers must continue, said head of state Maia Sandu.
"As of today three important areas are your responsibility. My expectation is to speed things up," President Maia Sandu said.
For his part, Prime Minister Dorin Recean welcomed the new ministers to the team and listed the expectations he has of each minister.
