Ukraine will strengthen its defenses on the border with Belarus after the meeting between Putin and Lukashenko

Ukraine will strengthen the defense of its border with Belarus due to fears that Russia may be preparing a new attack, Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Yevhen Yenin told the BBC. According to him, armed forces and ammunition will be mobilized at the border.

The announcement comes after President Vladimir Putin traveled to Minsk to meet Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in a "working visit" that lasted more than two hours. "We are building our defense lines across the border with Russia and Belarus," emphasized Yevhen Yenin. Although Belarus did not become directly involved in the war, it allowed Russian troops to use its territory to launch the invasion in February. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, they will conduct joint military exercises with Belarus.
