Government closes a placement center for refugees in Ocnița district

The activity of the provisional refugee management center from Călărăseuca in the Ocnița district was suspended by the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations, approved today.

According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu, from now on, all refugee management centers will be closed, which will have a number of beneficiaries less than 20% of their capacity, during 20 calendar days.

In the center for refugees from Călărăseuca, 2162 people were accommodated last year.

The CSE also decided to allocate over 2.6 million lei for the 53 refugee centers that are currently operating.
